Tadpole and Frog

I can't believe I haven't posted pictures of our new science adventure! In January, I ordered some tadpoles so that the kiddos could watch them turn into frogs. It has taken longer than the instructions stated, but we now have one frog, named "Caden" and one is still a tadpole, named "Emma." Emma the tadpole has also just sprouted legs - finally! It took "Caden" about 4 weeks to turn into a frog once the legs started to sprout!

Trip to Oregon 8/21-8/29

We had a wonderful trip up to Oregon. It was my first time flying with both kids by myself! They did great :) Our pictures are not in order of events, but here is what we enjoyed on our trip.  Some highlights included a trip to the Carousel and park, the Oregon State Fair, Emma's first stitch and trip to the ER, Caden turning 3 1/4, swimming, and playing with our cousins!  Mama and Dada also went to cousin Elizabeth's wedding - it was absolutely beautiful!

We got to meet my best friend, Ann's baby - Maeve Elizabeth! Such a little sweetheart! Emma also got her first stitch. She fell on a truck while visiting, and her tooth went through her lip. Our playdate was over and we headed to the ER in Silverton. Thank goodness my mom was there too! She took care of Caden while Emma and I waited to get her stitch.

Blocks and Puzzles

Just a fun day playing with blocks and puzzles!  Emma's first time getting the puzzle pieces in the correct spots, and Caden loves to build block towers.

Music Together

This was our last Music Together class with Teacher Seth :( He is our very favorite teacher by far. We will miss him for sure! But this fall, we will have a new teacher - Tyler. Teacher Seth said he is pretty good - so we'll see!

Science

Caden and I decided to make a "rubber egg."  We put an egg in vinegar for 2 days and it ate away the shell and just left the membrane.  It was very cool!  We had fun playing with the egg - until it splatted in the kitchen sink :)

It was a beautiful and hot day in SF!  The kiddo's had so much fun playing in the water table...they even climbed up in it :)  Too much fun!

Carousel and Park

We visited Yerba Buena Gardens again and went on the Carousel again and checked out the park. The park was great and the kids loved the carousel - $3 for two rides (best price in the city)!
