Hiking in Muir Woods

On Monday, we decided to go on a hike together through Muir Woods. We took the Dipsea and Ben Johnson Trails. It was a wonderful way to get out and enjoy nature with this beautiful weather we have been having. We also decided that this could be a great place to go on our first family camping trip with our little boy.

It's a Boy!!!

How we found out...
3:45 - Appointment
7:45 - Dinner reservation at Firefly
8:10ish - Opened the magical envelope!
8:11 - It's a boy!!!
8:12 - Cheers and excitement and tears of joy (mostly Jamie with the tears)!
8:17 - Reality sets in...Chris says "uh oh, looks like we're going to need a pee-pee tee-pee!"
8:18 - Jamie just smiles and laughs!!!

We are so excited! We had an amazing ultrasound yesterday. We got to see so much and how this little guy is developing. The doctor said he is 11oz. and looking very healthy! One of the neatest things to see was his little heart with all four chambers. It was also amazing to see his little brain - even his cerebellum. His heart rate is now 146bpm. I love that sound every time I hear it. We are absolutely thrilled and can't wait to meet this little guy in June!

3rd Appointment

This morning I had my third appointment. I got to hear the baby's heart beat, which I love! This time I got a little teary. It is really just the neatest sound and I know that I am definitely bonding with this baby more and more each day.

Last Chance to Relax?!?

We were very excited to be able to take one last relaxing vacation before this baby arrives. We headed to Maui on December 29 and were fortunate enough to stay in our Grandma Pat's condo in Wailea, Maui. Shortly after Christmas, my belly really popped! (Clay, thanks so much for the belly bands...I just started using them on the trip) We had a wonderful time snorkeling right off the beach, whale watching, riding bikes for 60+ miles (only Chris, of course!), playing cribbage, seeing friends who were there too, and just
enjoying each others company in the nice warm weather.
