Trip to the Flower Conservatory in Golden Gate Park

Caden and I went to the Flower Conservatory in Golden Gate Park on Tuesday. It was beautiful! There were so many neat and exotic orchids and other types of plants. Caden loved all the colors of the flowers and plants. It is so neat to see things through his little eyes! He was wide eyed the whole time. After we went to the Conservatory, we headed outside to the lawn in front and also to the Dahlia Garden (just to the side).

Ukiah Triathlon

We took a little mini vacation to Ukiah, CA this weekend. It is about 115 miles north of San Francisco. About a year ago, this was the very first triathlon that Chris did. We drove up on Saturday afternoon, walked around Ukiah, and went to dinner at the Brewing Company, which was really good and all organic! On Sunday Chris participated in the Triathlon and Caden and I watched. It was fun to see Chris in action!

Caden's First Laugh!

Caden laughed out loud for the first time! It was sooooo cute! We were singing the wheels on the bus song and were doing the motions for the people on the bus go up and down. I was raising and lowering his arms (for the up and down), and he just let out the cutest laugh ever! I keep trying to capture another one on video, but as soon as I bring out the camera to record, he is much more interested in staring at that than laughing! I'll keep trying so you can all see his cute little laugh!

First haircut at 3 months, 4 days old!

On the day of my sister's wedding, our good family friend, Suzy, cut Caden's hair! There was so much we collected a whole bag full of his hair! Caden was a good sport. He looked like such a big boy when he was all done. Before

On August 29th, my beautiful older sister, Stacey, got remarried at Neskowin overlooking the beach. Here are some pictures of the wedding!

Volunteering at Church

Once a month our church (Mission Bay Community Church) holds a food pantry. We are able to provide free groceries to about 150 families each month. It only costs about 3 dollars to feed each family. We decided to volunteer last month to teach Caden about giving back to our community. Well, a lesson I'm sure he will learn over and over once he is a little bit older! I'm sure he was the youngest volunteer the food pantry has ever seen! Caden provided a lot of smiles to the people coming in. Here are some pictures from the food pantry.

Brett and Krista's Wedding

Our dear friends (from the GSB), Brett and Krista were married on August 8th in Los Gatos, CA at a beautiful place called Nestledown. It was absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony was beautiful and I loved the letters that Krista and Brett wrote to each other. What a special couple. We wish them so much happiness in the years to come. Congratulations guys!
We had a lot of fun catching up with GSB friends who flew in from all over the country and of course, having them meet our little Caden. He was so good! Here are some pictures from the wedding.

Daddy's Birthday!

We went downtown to see Daddy at work and to have lunch on his birthday! We went to a Mexican restaurant called Orale Orale. We had lots of fun! Every time we go out, people comment on the amount of hair Mr. Caden has - they just can't believe it!

Dave and Kristi's Wedding

Caden's first wedding! We had a great time and Caden was such a good boy! Almost lost it during the ceremony, but held it together. It was a beautiful day and we are so happy for Dave and Kristi!
