Tooth Number 7

Today Caden got his seventh tooth! It came in on the bottom left. I can't wait til he gets all his teeth so that teething can be over. It seems miserable. Good thing it happens to all of us before we can remember it.

Cousin Maren!

While we were down at the 1/2 Ironman, Clay, Endre and Maren stayed at our place. It was fun to hang out on Sunday when we got back.

Oceanside, CA and Daddy's 1/2 Ironman

We took our big roadtrip down to Oceanside, CA so that Chris could complete his first 1/2 Ironman - 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run. He did great, other than getting 3, yes 3, flat tires on the bike ride! That must have been so frustrating. I think I would have quit after the second flat, but Chris kept going and finished strong. We were so proud of him! It was fun to watch what we could.

I'm 10 Months Old Today!

Well! This was quite a day! Caden said "dada" for the first time and went on his first roadtrip to southern California. The video is a bit dark, as we were in a restaurant in Bakersfield, CA. Caden was so good on the car ride down. We left just before his afternoon nap (and after swim lessons, so he was pretty tired) and he slept for quite a while, then woke up and just hung out! He is such a good little baby!

Having fun with Black and White

So I decided to use Chris's old Canon Rebel to take some pictures of Caden. I loved using the film camera with actual film! It was a fun surprise to see what I captured. I hadn't really focused on photography since college. Here are my three favorite black and white photos...I think I need to frame them. The coolest thing now is that they can somehow scan your film and you can get a cd with digital photos too! Enjoy!

So Caden began "cruising" today! He went from one of the couch to the other. No pictures to show for it, but we were pretty amazed and excited that he is moving on his own!

The joys of living in a national park

So Caden and I were playing outside today and out of the corner of my eye, I notice the dirt was moving. Well, lo and behold, we saw a little gopher peek up and out of his hole! It was quite cute. We watched him for quite a while. Caden was interested in the hummingbirds and bumble bees too. Days like today remind me why I love living in the Presidio and can't wait for Caden to get a bit older to appreciate the outdoors and all of the fun there is outside. It's like having a zoo right in our own backyard - well, almost!

We went down to San Carlos to meet the newest Barrile - Annabelle Marie! What a cutie! Caden and Anderson had fun playing with trucks and choo-choo trains! So fun!
